Do you think that Yahoo! Answers should have the beer, whine, and sirints catagorie?!
Answers: I don't. I mean, since they have that catagorie, THEY are not following the rules of Y!A or the community guidelines. What do you guys think?
maybe we had too much "whine"
i don't see how it is breaking the rules of Y!A
They are not breaking any rules... What are you talking about?
What do I think? I think you're crazy! Why shouldn't they have that category?
If you're talking about legality, well, it's not illegal to drink. It's illegal to drink if you're under 21, but Yahoo is in no way promoting, or recommending people to drink if they are under 21, so they are breaking no rules.
And your other question, "What if a kid under 21 got on and looked at it?" Well, it's not illegal to look at questions about alcohol. Is it illegal for a kid to go in a store and look at alcohol? No, it's not. If it were, kids wouldn't be allowed in most stores, since practically everywhere you go nowadays sells alcohol. Nothing illegal is being done here.
If you're going to ask nonsense questions, at least elaborate a little bit.
Also, you still misspelled the word, "spirits." And, "category." Oh, and, "wine."
I'm not sure how it's breaking any rules. There should be a category for everything people want to talk about. Aren't you breaking some rules? Your not asking a question about Beer, Wine and Spirits. Your asking a question about Yahoo's categories. Also, how can you mispell a word twice expecially when your apologizing for mispelling it?
i thought y!a was for literate people...either you're too young to be able to write properly in which case your interest in booze is inappropriate or you should stop spending your time reading about it and educate yourself to some level acceptable for adults!
Wow, thanks a lot "No Child Left Behind", those were taxes well spent. Anyway, just because you are underage doesn't mean the rest of us cannot hold a conversation about Beer, Wine, and Spirits. Why not get rid of Polls&Surveys? I think that would be a little more deserving of the axe.
If kids want to learn about how to make drinks or whatever then they will. But I seriously doubt that they come here. I think that this is a great section to have and it doesn't violate the community guidelines at all. Wine and Spirits.
Sprints
your still wrong
haha
I never saw a category that had "spirints" in it.
What if a kid got on and looked at the category.... Well, since nobody is providing that child with alcohol then nothing illegal was done. Furthermore, maybe that kid would read something informative and learn about alcohol before the go out and experiment with it. Education, not raising the drinking age to 21 and hiding alcohol away is the best weapon to fight under aged alcohol abuse. The facts show that children that grow up in an environment where alcohol is talked about openly have fewer problems later in life with said alcohol.
Additionally, contrary to popular belief in most states it isn't illegal for people under the age of 21 to consume alcohol in certain situations. If you had come to a site like this when you were under aged (if you are actually of age) you could have linked to sites like I've sighted below and learn this.
Exactly what rule of Yahoo Answers are they breaking?
Besides, if kids under 21 can see it, they might learn a thing or two. If you ever want somebody to try extra hard to find something out, tell them that they're not allowed. Odds are good that if that's the case, they'll find much worse answers than they'll get here. You cannot protect somebody from something by keeping them ignorant of it, whether it's sex, alcohol, drugs, guns, or anything else. They WILL encounter it at one time or another in life and if they know nothing about any of those, they won't know the correct way to deal with the situation.
Education is a far greater means of protection than hiding.
evidently cause i'm looking at it
So what if someone under 21 looks at it! In most countries the drinking age is 18 anyway.
It is not as if they have been totally innocent about the presence of alcohol anyway.
