I am a red wine drinker usually. Are there any white wines that would change my mind?!
Furthermore, can anyone recommend a nice red?
Answers: Nice white wine available in the UK at a reasonable price (less than a tenner)?

Depending on the style of red you like, France for me is still the greatest producer of wine in the world.
For the white try a Gewurztraminer from Alsace in France. Peppery, lychee fruit and bags of flavour, and when younger, carry a nice acidic grip also. Other examples can best be found from Chile.
Also bless its cotton socks Chardonnay produces amazing variants of this one grape.
The greatest examples are from Burgundy and on the lower end of scale without losing quality, is Saint Veran. I really think it typifies what Chardonnay can be. Earthy, ripe fruits nice acid balance and plenty of stucture.
Also look for the Loire region and the Chenin Blanc grape, best examples here are from Quincy (pronounced with a K), absolutely brilliant.
To the red wine. Without stating what type you prefer, look for lesser known varietals: Carmenere; Bonardo; Tannat. The COOP do good examples of the last two and are both under £6.
Carmenere is mainly Chilean grown now, and I know that Concha Y Toro Have a good example of this in their "Casillero del Diablo" range of wines.
Enjoy.
the best white wine i ever had was Chateou Le Salle Blanc.
its a sweeter tasting wine.also pinot grigio isn't too bad.
lemonade
badgers creek is nice, or a calafornia white
aldi (don't laugh) have really great wines..buy n try
Make sure its dry & cold. Pinot grigio, chablis, sancerre & sauvignon blanc all worth a try.
Tesco - Sicilian Fiano a current favourite of mine
chardonnay is a nice crisp white wine with a touch of fruit flavour,s. I find most are reasonably priced and readily available from supermarkets South African and Australian are my favourite,s serve chilled
if you're partial to reds have you ever tried a white Cabernet? you drink it room temp and it's quite good - other whites I prefer (b/c I too like reds over whites) are sancerre, chardonnay's, savignone blanc or fume blanc
It would really depend on what you're after - sweet, medium, dry, fruity, oaky etc. I would suggest you go to Sainsburys as they always have really good half price wine offers like £4 for an £8 bottle. At that price you can experiment a bit and see what you like. Just like with reds, the labels will give you a good idea of sweet / dry etc. Enjoy!
Maybe.,
but try the 'TORRONTES' one
is a typical Argie white wine.
