Question:

Why does champagne give me really bad hangovers?

i can drink hard alcohol and have no problem in the morning...but with champagne i wake up feeling like **** with a HUGE headache =(

Answers:
Maybe you drink more champagne since it's so easy to drink.
Also, wine and champagne contains sulfites which some people say causes headaches.

It is most likely due to the natural sugars in the champagne from the grapes. I know a lot of people that get them from wine, due to the same reason. Does wine do the same thing to you?

Lots of folks are like this -

Believe it or not - its due to the "Wine Sugar" in the Champagne!

And as dry as Champagne is you would not think that there would be that much wine sugar in it to effect you.

You may be drinking what I like to call "crappy champagne". Rule of thumb: if it's less than $30, leave it on the shelf. If this is not your problem, then try drinking a glass of water for every two glasses of champagne.

All the responses I've read are true, but it is also because of the carbonation that is combined with the sugar.

A lot of people get that way when they drink tap beer because of the co2 used when tapping the kegs.

Why do they refer to champagne as bubblie?!
