What is the best type of alcohol?!
Answers: the best tasting i mean. i'm not a big fan of beer and i can never even look at green apple shmirnoff again, if you get what i mean. oh and i'm kind of a light weight, haha.
Try the following and see what you like:
1) bourbon on the rocks. It has a nice vanilla taste thanks to the oak barrels used.
2) Scotch with water. A peaty kind of flavor compared the bourbon whiskey. High quality scotch (single malts and top shelf blended varieties) is supposed to be drunk this way but try with ice or soda if you prefer.
3) Rum and coke with ice. A drink with a bad rap for style but nice on occasion.
4) Bacardi 151 rum shots. A very powerful rum but oddly enjoyable.
5) Congac or Armengac neat in a brandy ballon.
6) Cider. Fizzy like beer (but not foamy) and with an apple taste.
7) Port/Sherry/Muscat/Torquay. Fortified wines that range from dry to sweet. Given your "lightweight" remark they might suit you. They were frequently drunk by women in earlier times while men drank whiskey and brandy (because they were not as potent).
8) Gin and tonic with ice. Traditionally a 1:1 ratio of gin to tonic but almost always made with less gin these days. A classic.
9) Asti Riccadonna. A fizzy wine similar the champagne but fruity and sweet.
10) Bailey's Irish Cream. Another drink with a bad rap in terms of class but ever popular and tastes better chilled or over ice.
Note that the suggestions above are usually mixed spirit drinks. If you mix them yourself, you can adjust for flavor and alcohol readily. Many can be bought pre-mixed but its not very cost effective and the strength of the beverage is set by the maker. You are better off mixng yourself.
Alcohol is an acquired taste and we all go our own way regardless of the relentless advertising. My personal favorite is sour mash bourbon.
Try you a hypnotic martini,They are great! Thats the bad part they taste to good.Mix 2 parts hypnotic,one part vodka,put in metal shaker with lots of ice-- shake -- pour in glass add a lil splash of cherry juice and a cherry and you good to go!it taste its best as cold as you can get it!Enjoy
i usally drink blue WKD'S when i go out they taste like pop i really enjoy them, but also i like vodka lemon and lime.

I hate to taste the alcohol when I drink, so I usually go to the bar and ask them to hide it. I, too, am a lightweight. One night when I went out, I ended up drinking lemon drops. It tastes like a lemonade in a way, but not like docs or mikes. I think that it is made with gin and lemon juice. Not really sure, but I stood up and fell flat on my rear after 2 of them.
Well Guiness is the best hands down... But since you don't like beer... And are a light weight, I'd say go with Mt.Dew...Everything else is a waste of money. ; )

try a midori sour. or for an even more fruity mixture why dont you try a malibu bay breeze. if you want a shooter, try a chocolate cake.
I'm a kinda light weight too, since i don't drink as often anymore, so my taste for alcohol, isn't really there anymore......So Seriously, TRY THESE. ..............
First off- the best kinda alcohol that you can hardly taste in mixed drinks that taste good is, Bacardi...or Bacardi superior....The clear one. It's a light rum....anyway......

Alize is freakin awesome if you like fruityness.....it taste really good....
I LOVE Bacardi....its my fav. it taste good with anything....with cranberry juice....in frozen drinks....ANything. Try what i said up above. It's so good! Trust me.
