How much alcohol is in a single drink?!

Question: I have heard of several different answers, 1 ounce, 1.5 ounces.

Answers: I have heard of several different answers, 1 ounce, 1.5 ounces.

1 serving = 1/2 oz of alcohol
12 oz can of beer = 4%
4 - 5 oz of wines = 10-20%
1 - 1.5 oz of distelled beverages = 40-50%

20% is absorbed by stomach and small intestines. 80% is absorbed much slower

depends on how fast you want to get drunk!!

depends on the drink. 12 oz beer = 5 oz wine = 1 oz of distilled. or something similar. also depends on the alcohol content of the drink, malt liquor more than beer.

well, if you take 1 ounce of your average hard liquor, it will be about 40% alcohol. and one shot of that is equivalent to a bottle of beer or a glass of wine.

On average, beer is about 5-6% the serving is 12 oz, wine is between 8-12% the serving is around 6oz, and most wiskey is 40-45+% the serving is around 1oz. In order to find the proof you simply double the percentage of alcohol.

0.6 ounces of ethanol alcohol in a standard serving.

It depends on the percentage of alcohol in what you are drinking. Beer has like 3-5% and i've seen a bottle of tequila with 40%.

Depends on where you are. A shot is commonly measured as 1 oz. But different bars pour larger shots. The ones that have the guns can adjust those to pour 1 1.25 1.5 even 2 oz if they want.
Those that hand pour, a good bartender will pour a 1 oz shot glass and turn it into the rocks glass and continue to pour so you get a bit more than the oz.
