Whats a good tame alcholic drink?
My brother has never really drank much alcoholic beverages in his life and I only drank beer so I dont know much about mixed drinks.
My brother doesnt like beer so I was wondering what type of mixed drink do you think he would like. I want one thats not to strong and tastes half way decent. Also it will be one I can mix up myself not a special drink you can get at a bar.
Answers:
Rum and Coke. It's something that we know works well together, it doesn't have any sketchy-sounding ingredients, you can make it yourself, AND you get to decide how strong/tame it is... also add some lime juice for more zing, and then you can call it a Cuba Libre!

Mix the two in the trusty blender. 3 parts ice cream one part brandy.
if you don't like that version, use cream.

Mix it up in the blender. mix the first and second till it's smooth, then pour in the rum.
(First two I ever had. A whiskey sour, or long island iced tea might kill him right off the bat. I suggest you wait these.)
The amount of liquor is going to effect how strong a lot of drinks taste. How about a rum and Coke, or vodka and cranberry or vodka and orange juice?
You can mix any drink to be as tame or strong as you want just by adjusting the amount of alcohol, my fave is vodka and cranberry juice. The canberry is not too sweet or acidic. easy on the tummy that way! I would shy away from sweet and or carbonated.
I love Amaretto Sours
1 jigger amaretto almond liqueur
juice of 1/2 lemons
1 maraschino cherry
Rub the rim of an old-fashioned glass with lemon, and dip repeatedly into granulated sugar until it has a good "frosted" rim. Shake amaretto with lemon juice, and strain into the glass; over ice. Garnish with a maraschino cherry, and serve.

get some frozen concentrated orange and pineapple juice
fill your blender up 3/4 of ice.. add about 1/4 to full cup of
dark rum.. i like the gold or special Bacardi's
add a good table spoon of each juice as is.,. dont add water
ether add more juice or less with your own taste..
blend this up till is about a Slurpee,, put leftovers in freezer till u are ready for refills... and just reblend .. or pour your melded drink into the batch and reblend.. i hate waste is why i do th
Very simple but old type classic....screwdriver....oran... juice and vodka....vodka has little taste and almost anyone has OJ in the refrig....make it very weak...maybe a shot (ounce) vodka to large glass of juice. If you really good OJ (IE - not from concentrate / with lots of pulp) he may not even taste the vodka.
BUT...you have to be careful with this stuff...even weak screwdrivers, if you drink enough of them, can still mess you up.

About the tamest alcoholic drink I know is a Fuzzy Navel. It is orange juice and peach schnaps. Even your Grandma that is about 80 could drink it.
