Whiskey in dark & plain coffee?!
Answers: I love dark coffee, I drink it with no milk and no sugar at all. I hate whiskey, I tried it with any drinks that you can get at a bar. I just can't even smell it but I want to drink it so much. I was watching this movie a while ago (15 minutes) and Robert De Niro was putting whiskey in his dark coffee. Which gave me the idea that maybe that's the way to go for me... I still haven't had the time to get everything together and don't want to waste money on a bottle as well. Does anyone drink it like this? Can someone describe how it tastes a little bit... thanks. I'm just too caught up with school work at the moment and a lil bored as you can tell :)
its surprising to me that you love dark unsweetened coffee but can't take whiskey, to me the strong beer, strong coffee, straight alcohol preference seemed linked to a common preference. Anyways, you can easily fit 4-6 shots of whiskey in a full cup of dark coffee and not even realize its there. Also, ive found the sweeter the coffee the more it masks the whiskey.
Irish coffee is Jameson's Irish Whiskey in coffee.
Usually it has maybe a little Triple Sec, or just a sweetener, and whip cream. But I usually just put some whiskey in the coffee.
However, if you can't get past the smell or taste of whiskey, I don't think this is for you. You can try it with the Triple Sec, sweetener and whip cream, that may get you by. Then you may slowly acquire a taste.
I love Irish people, but I don′t like Irish coffee and I don′t recommend it. I think isn′t healthy
mexican coffee with tequila and kauluha! for me dude!!
Irish coffee has coffee, irish whiskey, creme de menthe and a little whipped cream. NOT triple sec!
I drink bourbon in my coffee once in awhile. and it tastes like bourbon in coffee. You can still smell the whiskey also so if smell and taste is not your thing then whiskey is not for you. I started drinking whiskey mixed with 7-up, or whiskey and coke.
If you don't like whiskey, don't force yourself to drink it. There are so many good-tasting spirits, why limit yourself? I don't understand why people force themselves to drink alcohol that doesn't taste good when the liquor store is a haven of wonderful spirits just waiting to be sampled!
Anyway, you can try sampling some different whiskies. Personally, I don't care for scotch as much as bourbon, so I often drink a good quality bourbon. I like Makers Mark, Knob Creek, Bulleit...bourbon tends to be a little sweeter and smoother than blended whiskies, and Scotch has a distinct smoky flavor.
I really like whiskey in coffee, but that's because I like the flavor of the whiskey. If you don't like the flavor of whiskey, you probably won't like it in coffee either.
