Does the institution who require you to have a drug and alcohol test ever allow you to drink alcohol? I think drinking alcohol is no big case-- as long as you are not addicted to it. Taking drugs is definitely a shame. Anyway, that's my standpoint.

Yes, you will fail your drug and alcohol test because you drank alcohol last night. You know what? In that one they will ask you if you took any drug or alcohol for the last 6 months.

The best way to cope? Be honest that you have drank alcohol within those six months. And the authorities will countersign it for you. No big deal because anybody may have the chance to drink it- socially, occasionally. But if it's already related to addiction you might as well spell it for them before you end up with any shame.

As a freshman in a Catholic university, we were required to take the test. That's why I know. I don't drink; I don't take any illegal drugs. But I took medicine within the last 6 months so I had to tell them. Of course, I had to indicate what medicine it was. Hope you get by.

you should be ok, keep drinking the water

you ol boozer. time to clean up your act. dont become a sloppy drunk!

I think you will pass! It's not 24 hours since your last drink, but... I think it's enough time!

just contuine drinking that water.

Drink a bottle of cough syrup, or medication, atleast when they get the results you can tell them you had medicinal alcohol and you're sick...

I think it's there for atleast 24hours...

If it is only a drug test, you should do fine. Alcohol doesn't stay in your system very long. You should pee it all out before 3:30.

I think you'll be fine. Drink another gallon of water between now and then.

buy somrthing thats gonna clean u out or eat

As long as you didn't take any drugs, you'll be fine, but you'll find out for sure sooner or later.

I've never had anyone test for alcohol. Where are you applying? IBM?

if you can drink 2 or 3 gallons of water it will be hard but if you drink it you will have a better chance at passing the test it is not a 100 percent guaranty but it should work

Drin lots of water and you should be ok.

your body will get the alcohol out of your system at the rate of about one drink an hour. You should be fine.

you should be ok just keep drinking water and pee so u can get the brandy out of ur system if its still in there

If they test for alchohol in addition to chemicals, it will show up, no matter how much water you drink. If your drug test is for a job, you should be ok. Just be honest and tell them you had a few drinks last night. If it's a court ordered thing or rehab, you might be in trouble.
Good Luck

You'll probably be fine the body can process 1 serving of alcohol an hour if you have short time frame in between 1 drink can be as much as like 2 drinks 5 shots should take at most 10 hours to clean out. Which makes 11:30 - 9:30 worst case scenario.

I am so tired of people assuming you can just "flush" the alcohol out of your body. You are measured for alcohol by BAC: Blood Alcohol Content. That means the alcohol does not stay in your digestive system, it is in your blood. Which can't be flushed out with gallons of water or bad mexican food.

Beside that fact, it usually takes your body 1 hour to process one unit of alcohol, however if you drink them consecutively it can take your body longer. Seeing as how you drank 5 shots of brandy (which has a relatively low alcohol content) I would say at the most it will take your body 8 hours to process the alcohol. So it should definitely be out of your system by 3:30pm.

you will fail sorry

It take about an hour per shot for alcohol to leave your system. You should be fine. Besides alcohol is a legal drug.

in reply to Chef's answer:

You're right in the fact that alcohol is carried in the blood stream, but you're statement that drinking water won't "flush" out the alcohol is only valid if the asker would be receiving a blood test, which is only usually given in cases of suspected DUI/DWI. The asker will most likely have a urine test, in which case the worst too much water can do is give the asker an inconclusive test result.

to the asker:

The general concensus is that the average person's body can process alcohol at the rate of about 1 standard drink per hour. This can vary greatly person-to-person, but even considering the worst care scenario, say your body processes alcohol 3 times slower than that, that would mean if you stopped drinking at 11:30, you should be all clear by 2:30 pm. With that said, normally there is a minimum amount of drugs and alcohol allowed in a test before a positive is given.

I don't know but if they throw you in jail I will come and visit

if u drink gallons of water,it should be goood in the hood

yes

I think this will explain better....

You'll be fine, they can't test for alcohol its not a controlled substance so as long as you haven't done any illegal drugs or other controlled substances you'll be fine

yes you are
