Do you believe that AA is for quitters?!
Answers: Because I'm no quitter!
I don't know if you're talking about AA Batteries or what. If you are, I don't know what to say.
YES, it's for quitters.
I think AA is for self righteous ******* that can't handle their liquor.
No. I believe that AA is for winners that want to quit.
yes
YEA AND PPL WHO WANT A BETTER LIFE AND DONT SETTLE FOR TRASH! in those aa meetings theres ppl that killed ppl beat ppl and done alot of dumbs things you'll learn when and do time
Here's to you and your years of alcoholism! Always remember, don't drink and drive!
AA is for winners, for the people who realize that they have a problem and need support and guidance to stay strong from the evils of drinking. It also helps people to understand how much it can affect your life. It is a great support network! My dad has gone to AA for 10 plus years now and he loves it. He loves the friends he meet, he loves the get togethers they have outside of the meetings! Heck, he even met his fiance there, and that, for my dad is a miracle! lol
(Don't get me wrong, I drink, but not enough to consider it a problem - like less than 1 time a month!)
you may have iron kidney's now but you are definately lacking brain cells and if you keep it up a liver that will wind up unable to perform its normal functions along with renal failure,,, somehow wearing a bag wont seem so appealing when you are trying to get your groove on... grow up now or life is going to pass you by and you will be too drunk to remember it
AA is certainly not for quitters and is there for people who have ruined their lives by their inability to stop drinking.
If you are young and have not had any negative consequences, as of yet, other than hangovers, than you will not understand.
I hope you do not become addicted to alcohol, and those things begin to occur, such as DUI's, lost jobs and lost family relationships. Should you begin to have trouble, in those areas, aforementioned, then you will be in need of AA for support.
Jim Leyritz was not a quitter either, and now he has killed a woman in a DUI accident in Florida, he raced through a red light drunk. He was a NY Yankee hero of the 96 series, by the way.
Your question requires much more time to answer and I think you have gotten my drift. So that having been said drink with care, never ever drink and drive and I hope you never fall into the bonds of addiction.
I am a recovering alcoholic and sober ten years and nobody could tell me to stop until it was too late.
So have one for me and enjoy the night and your hangover in the morning, oh yeah, take a chaser when you get up. A hangover pill on the market that is supposed to alleviate the horrors of a hangover.
Totally. And to be an alcoholic you have to go to meetings.
Yes, I'd rather be a fully functional drunk than an Anonymous Alcoholic.
Cheers!!
I don't agree with what you say, but I can appreciate your incendiary brand of humor. Alcoholism certainly is a serious problem, but it's most definitely not a disease.
The problem with AA is the idea that alcoholism is a disease and you have to "surrender to a higher power" in order to quit. I don't buy it. I believe the only way to truly quit something is to QUIT. Period. You have to have the motivation to do it, rather than relying on someone else.
The problem with most issues today, is that no one seems to want to take responsibility for their own actions. If you have a drinking problem, it's because you abused alcohol, not because you have a disease or your parents drove you to it. People try to say that alcoholics are not at fault. "It's not your fault. You can't help it. Alcohol is evil. The world is bad. Life is tough." Get over it. It IS your fault, because no one drank it for you.
This is not meant to attack or offend anyone, but I don't believe in the "merits" of AA and their 12-steps, etc.
Cheers!
Man, I tell you...You post something like that and all the effin Purana's come out. Why are all the AA people looking at questions in the beer, wine and spirits section...All they do is criticize people for drinking and put in their BS 2 cents. No one wants to hear it! All the AA people and non drinkers need to stay out!
Yes. It's for people who want to quit drinking. If you don't want to quit drinking, that's your decision.
Keep smiling. =o)
