because if you drink the right amount, not too much: it relaxes your nerves, gives you a good tingly feeling, makes you bolder and more comfortable with yourself, it can make you more energetic, makes you feel good.
some people like the taste, some just have to have it, i like the feeling from it ,, just a little bit ,if it's not too much..

well I like having a couple drinks with my friends when I am out & with friends for dinner or a get together. And it is not about feeling better or not is just a matter of taste. They might be some people with an alcohol addiction or problem that it might be truth they "think" they feel better when drinking but that is not my case. I do not need to drink to feel better
there is plenty reasons why; too loosen a person up, they may think it'll take away their problems because their stress, it may taste good to them, they may be out with an ugly person and by drinking it will make that person look like beyonce.
I do it for several reasons:
1) i am a sommelier in training, and part of that is tasting wine
2) it is a social event that I share with my freinds, typically to celebrate
3) or, when I have had a particularly rough day, I enjoy a drink to help "calm" me down. It can ceratinly distract your thoughts, if you consume enough.
The party freaks and the pain avoiders.
1.) Because you become less inhibited and it makes you have more fun. (it extinguishes social anxiety for example)
2.) Because it has a 'numbing' quality that allows you to forget pain or grief. (this is where addicts begin)
because they were probably put under peer pressure and just wanted to look cool. It makes you look like a geek and no it does not make u feel better. It makes you feel worse and i should know because i am in D.A.R.E class. it causes brain damage and a whole lot of other things. You can go to jail if u r drinking under 21. It makes me feel wonderful! I love to drink. It is fun, relaxing, and just all around great.
if i have to tell you, you'd never understand! just try it some time.
1. Alcohol numbs the constant pain in my knees way better than any aspirin.
2. When I drink a really good beer, like Fransikaner or Spaten, I feel a connection to my German ancestry. Kind of hard to explain, but I feel that I am taking part in a grand tradition that has a long and regal history and will be around forever.
