I drank a bottle of wine tonight. I'm past drinking age, I've been married for 9 years. My husband called mom!!
Seriously, I didn't know you could get this drunk off of a $8 bottle of wine!
Question is, do I call my mom now ,or tomorrow and lie?
And I drank because of suspicions of my husband cheating on me, if you have to know.
Answers: I'm still drunk, I think, my husband called my mom (who lives many states away from me).... what should I do, call her in the morning? My husband, who is out of town, called her! What the heck! My mom has no idea that I drink. Ok I'm an adult and all that, but stilll, I don't want her to think I'm an alcoholic or something.

I would'nt do anything. It's nobodys business what you do & you are of legal age to drink. Yes, you can get drunk on a cheap wine. I used to drink & I know. If you have to call your mom do it tomorrow. Your husband had no business calling your mom. Just tell her you had a disagreement; had a few drinks & your husband blew it all out of proportion. Tell you don't normally drink & thats why it hit you like a ton of bricks! Sounds good to me. If he's out of town how did he even know you were drinking? Did you tell him or could he sense it in your voice? Tell your mom he's not even home so how would he know what's going on. Or you could tell her you took nyquil for a cough & there's a lot of alcohol in it & it made you loopy. I can't take it thats for sure. It gives me hives & knocks me for a loop! Sounds good to me.
just remember if you always tell the truth you don't have to remember the lies that you told. What would your mom do ro you anyway? Its not like it is illegal.
Don't lie about it. Getting drunk once does not make you an alcoholic. If you feel the need to call your mother then do so in the morning but certainly don't lie about it. You're an adult and don't need to explain your actions though if you have a good relationship with your mother it might be nice to have someone to discuss your concerns about your husband with.
Even if he isn't cheating you should really put some thought into wether or not it's worth staying in a relationship with someone who's going to tell your mommy on you if you do something as simple has have yourself a couple drinks!
Call your mom tomorrow when your sober but don't lie.. If your husband is cheating you don't want him to have a better relationship with your mom and feed her lies tell her you like to have wine occasionally and don't know why he thought he needed to call her because nothing happened to you or is wrong with you. If your pretty close with your mom tell her about your suspicions about your husband and maybe she can help you. Hope this helps you... :)

Don't bring it up unless she does...and if she does just tell her you an adult and that you respect her opinion but ultimately you have the right to choose what works for you.
