There are a hundred different ways to make Sangria. It's really your choice.

Ingredients
2 gallons Zinfandel
1 cup brandy
1/2 cup Cointreau
2 quarts orange juice
2 cups lemon juice
1 cup superfine sugar or Simple Syrup
2 trays ice cubes [18 to 20]
2 quarts club soda, chilled
3 oranges, thinly sliced
4 lemons, thinly sliced

Method
Make sure all ingredients are thoroughly chilled. Pour the wine, brandy and Cointreau into a large punch bowl. Stir orange and lemon juice with the sugar until sugar has dissolved [alternately, use Simple Syrup]. Add citrus mixture to bowl and stir to blend. Add ice cubes and soda and garnish with fruit slices. Serve in wine glasses.

I make sangria with an inexpensive red wine, cointreau, lots of chopped up fresh fruit and orange zest

anything that u find in the fridge :D

i put botle of wine
glass of soda
some brandy
some vodka
a slice dorange
leave it to settle for some hours
and drink up

ow and some sugar ... forgot that

Sangria contains red wine (or white for sangria blanca), chopped or sliced fruit, honey or orange juice, a small amount of brandy, triple sec or other spirits, and lemonade or a soft drink.
Preparation consists of cutting the fruit in thin slices or small cubes, then mixing in advance all ingredients except for ice and carbonated sodas. After several hours in a refrigerator to allow time for the fruit flavors to blend with the rest of the ingredients, the ice and any last-minute ingredients are added and the drinks are poured.

Basically it's red wine and orange juice.

Oliver Garden sangria

a red table wine(cheap does fine)
2 big oranges
2 lemons
2 limes
(grape fruit or really any passtion fruit that you like)
1 cup sweet water ( boil water and add sugar 1 to 1)

juice one half of fruit and slice other half
add to wine
taste if you need or want it sweeter add cooled sweet water a little at a time till you reach the taste that you like
store in refrigerate drink with 72 hours of adding fruit)
some people add soda water or sprite(if you add sprite your not going to need sweet water or you'll use very little) if you add soda do so as a last step seeing that the bubbles will not hold)

When in Spain I used a local recipe:

Red wine - 1 bottle
Brandy - around a full wine glass
Lemonade
orange sliced
lemon sliced
ice

All drank through a straw a lunchtime.
Thank goodness for the siesta!
