Anybody know of any good red wines at a reasonable price?!

Question: Im thinking of a price range of £5-10. i know its not much but there must be some good quality wines in this range? im not fussy about type of red wine, any will do.

I don't know UK pricing, but in the US, there are a LOT of decent red wines for $10-$20, which is about the same price range.

Frei Brothers, Chateu St. Michelle, Estancia, Q, BV Rutherford are all some good US choices, and offer Cabernet, Pinot noir, Merlot and Shiraz (I especially like the Q Meritage, which is at the top end). Origin brand has wines from all over at very reasonable prices.

Ruffino offers a decent Chianti and a Chianti Classico reserve. You can also look at the offerings from Bolla and Louis-Jadot. And check out the Australian wines too - Rosemont is pretty decent.

Most of these aren't great, but are certainly good red wines - the list I offered is my 'standby' list of choices that I often fall back on every weekend.

naked grape is a great wine I buy that sells for $17 in canada.

Cabernet Saugvinon:
Coppola claret
Rodney Strong
Gallo

Try wines from Languadoc France or from Chili.
