Can a black guy get into a heavily white frat?
Im going to UC Santa Barbara next year which is heavily white but I wanted to join a frat. Is it unusual for a black guy to get into a very white frat?

I grew up in a white area and the few black people who where around were VERY popular unless they were Urkels. Heck, look how many white people try to act black, Justin Timberlake is a millionare doing it, having a black friend is a big benefit to all these wiggers.
Check them all out, the ones that don't want you, to hell with them you don't want to hang around with racists anyways, right?
Go for it, I think you will be more successful than you think, above all....be yourself!!

Depends on the chapter and where the school is. I was a little sister to a frat that the chapter had to fight to get a black guy in. Once that happened, it was easier for others to get in.
I dont know the school well enough to say. But you should research what frat your interested in joining. If the school doesnt have it, you could always charter a chapter there. Or start your own. That's how the other frats got there. If you are going to join a brotherhood (whether predominately white, nphc, nalfo, multicultural, or whatever) you should make sure you like the brothers.
Are you kidding me? It's 2007.I know when my predomint white Frat Sigma Theta Chi out of Jersey we had many black pledges who I'm proud to say are my frat Brothers!! I grad. in 1983. Like I said before it's 2007!! I moved down to AL. from NY I can't believe how segrated the races are here. I just can't believe how whites treat blacks down here. Somethings got to be done about this, Slavery and the Civil War are over!!! This di sgusts me,grow up society.Guess what I'm white!!! Pledging is to see if you could stay together like brothers thats the real reason as I know it. Good Luck

of course, heavily white fraternities always need a token black guy. Doesnt that sound cool, being the only black guy. kinda... but then again all the token black guys in movies usually only have minor roles...
