Is college drinking bad?!

Question: I am in college and have never drank before. I really don't see the point to it, when 7up is my favorite soda ever. Why do so many college kids drink? Is it that kids are trying to fit in or what?

People have parties -- partying is a normal thing. I don't think there's much wrong with it as long as you don't take it too far.

Sure, a lot of partying is about fitting in, but a lot of people make the choice not to party. In college, there's a lot more latitude to make your own decisions without worrying about the social consequences -- at least more so than in high school.

Not much of a point to drinking 7-Up either, is there? People don't drink things because there's a point to it.

its just to have fun. to fit in. You dont have too, but eventually you will. I drank very few times in high school. But in college is all the time. During and after a school game. After the good old exams, and finals. So its more of a Friendship bonding, and some times a stress reliever.

ITS FUN U PARTY POOPER!

GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK

Because it's their first time away from their parents and they're testing the waters of adulthood. There's nothing wrong with drinking in moderation, but do what feels right for you. Everyone loves a designated driver!!

Put a little vodka in your 7 up and you will like college a lot more. College was the best 4 years of my life and several memories were made after a few beers. Enjoy yourself now, because after college you work all week and are too tired on the weekends to drink. One time my college roommate drank 34 beers in one day. I still have the pictures and enjoy a good laugh when I look at them. That same roommate is now an attorney and making good money. College drinking is definettly not bad
