Are there any differences between malt liquor and strong beer?!

Question:

Are there any differences between malt liquor and strong beer?

In the section where the malt liquor is in my beer store, there are some brands that say it's "malt liquor", but then other brands that just say "strong beer" but both have the same or relatively close alcohol %

Are there any differences between the two?

Answers:
The brewing process of a malt liwour is no different than any other style lager style beer. What makes malt liqours have more alcohol in them over like a pilsner beer beacuse there is more fermentable sugar and yeast in the brew than a pilsner. Beeradvocate.com says that malt liqours are generally made very cheeply and taste that way. The strong beers you refer to, im not sure what style they are but there are many styles of beer that range in alcohol some up to 18% by volume. What you are seeing labled as such could be any number of styles, it could also be another way of labling a malt liqour

malt is made from husk beer is made from yeast

completely different brewing method and malt liquor can be brewed much stronger
