Where can I sell an empty beer keg?!

Question:

Where can I sell an empty beer keg?

I live in Birmingham, AL and have a mostly empty beer keg that has just been sitting in the garage. I don't need it and if I ever throw a kegger I just rent the shell. How do I go about getting money for this shell?

Answers:
A buddy of mine sold his as scrap metal. I think he made like $50 or so. You could try the same, or sell it back to a brewer.

Didn't you have to give a deposit when you bought it? Just take it back and get your money back. Otherwise hit up the local college campus and tack an ad on their bulletin boards, I'm sure you'll have takers and you can charge whatever you want.

Take it to a scrapyard

How the hell did you end up with that thing anyway?
Put it on ebay or craigslist...somebody will want it.
I lived in mexico for my job for three years, and you could go to the local beer brewery and they would fill up your keg for you, but i doubt they will do that here.

just give back to a distributor and receive 10 bucks

The keg is the property of the brewery. You're required by law to return it to the distributor.

somebody on this site is looking to purchase an empty keg. It's a few pages back from this listing. Try 3 pages more recent. It's around there... I think

but it on ebay some motor heads use them for gas tanks for dune buggies

dude at the place you got it from, or sell it at a flea market. some drunk dude will think its cool. if you have the tapper also thats even more money.

look for some lephrecauns or try sell it to your neighbour
(PS DONT TRY THE LEPRHECAUNS)
