Mad Vegan question:?!

Question:

Mad Vegan question:?

I went to a local burger joint with some friends, and was having a good time, and at first I wasn't to hungry, so I didn't order. Well after about an hour a couple of other friends showed up and were ordering so I decided to order. Having a veggie burger on the menu, I asked if there was any animal by products on this particular sandwich. The workers, INCLUDING the MANAGER started giving me a hard time, (making fun of my vegan lifestyle and such.) Then assured me that there wasn't. Well, I order and when I received my order it was NOT the Vegan burger I order but a regular with mounds of cheese. When I brought it to their attention (including the manager) they just laughed and told me to eat it or leave. I demanded my order to be corrected, but to make a long story short, I just got my money back. My question IS: Can I file a law suite with them, for this ignorance???

I don't know about filing a law suit, however you can go to the better business bureau and lodge a complaint against the business. You can also check at their website and see if others have the same complaint against this place of business.
Also in this day and age a lot of restaurants have their own web site where you can send a complaint to their district or home office. At the very least you would get an apology and a free meal... like you would probably ever want to eat there again!

As far as i know there are no laws protecting this. While what they did was wrong, dont you think filing a lawsuit is a little extreme??!!?

You inspected the burger and did not eat it.
You went off and got your money back. You will find it hard to get a litigation attorney to take your case. Go to a vegan bar or order a sandwich with all sorts of avacado and sprouts and such that is not a hot sandwich. If they laughed at you well oops, I walked across the street today and had 3 young guys call me a dog--hope their grandmother fairs better. I am not filing a suit.

I don't go to a Vegan Restuarant and ask for a burger - same thing. burger places serve burgers and don't cater to Vegans.

I don't think you can sue someone for being an a$$h0le. If so, we'd probably all be in jail at some point. Just shrug it off and don't ever give them your business again. Make sure you tell your friends and family that the owner is rude and not to give him their business either. Then take silent pleasure in the fact that he'll probably die of colon cancer.
