Answers:
have you heard the saying 8 hours from the bottle to the throttle?/

Approximately 12 hours.

Thats why you can get done for drink driving the following morning after a session.

People often say it's one hour for one unit but that's obviously rubbish because the first one won't have worn off within that time. 4 beers should wear off overnight I would have thought. Drinking whilst you're really tired isn't any better than driving drunk - you aren't any safer. Hope you got some sleep.

Alcohol? 1-3 days depending on how much you drank. as far as the other ****....good luck w/dat lol!!!

Well, I seem to remember hearing somewhere that a liver can only process 1 oz. of alcohol per hour...

this is the type of answer you should be looking for, although the specifics depend on the person.

a lot depends on your level of body fat and the speed of your natural metabolism. at your weight, 5 drinks in a short period, no wonder you were worshiping the porcelain god!! lol generally i think the one hour per unit of alcohol is a decent estimate, but you have to consider in the age of super-sized EVERYthing that often a mixed drink has more than one shot of alcohol in it. 12 ounces of beer, 6 ounces of table wine, and one ounce of 80 proof alcohol are all supposed to have about the same amount of alcohol in them, but since they are more highly concentrated and therefore consumed at a higher rate, obviously the smaller amounts will intoxicate faster since you are likely consuming more by drinking larger amounts of the concentrated form. the ultra-deep kneebend session you had would help get some of it out sooner, but better safe than sorry. its best to plan not to drive at all any time you drink. a bus, cab, or ride is soooo much cheaper than a possible lifetime of misery from taking an unnecessary risk with your life or anyone else's

...for some ungodly reason - the curse of my life - it hasn't been out of my system for years

General guideline: 250/weight in lbs is the number of hours to completely metabolize one serving of alcohol. If you weigh 130, that's about 2 hours per drink. It will be faster if you eat food, or do something active to burn off the alcohol, since your body uses alcohol for energy before carbs or fat.

One serving of alcohol is a bottle of beer, a 4 oz glass of wine, or a 1.25 oz shot of hard liquor. I never heard of a "surfer on acid" but if it has, say, 3 shots in it, that is a total of 7 drinks, which would take you up to 14 hours to completely metabolize.
