i never had any but one of my friends like to drink it straight. and another one mixes it with pop. i guess it really all depends on what u like.
just chill it and take as a shot with a lime and salt. other than that make a good margarita
to be completely honest with you...nothing but patron itself. You can have some salt before you take a shot and then finish with a lime, but since patron is such a quality tequila(at least for the U.S.) it really should be taken by itself...now with that said, if you really want to mix patron with something, orange juice and a splash of grenadine will make a tequila sunrise, pour a little swewet and sour and triple sec for a margareta tasting drink, or sprite might taste good.
Lime sour mix is preferred for a margarita, but I know it is nice with a little lemon sour mix as well.
Since you're buying a more expensive tequila like that, I'd just shake it over ice and take shots of it. If you're just trying to make it not taste like tequila anymore buy something cheaper, like Sauza.
Patron is best served alone, over ice and/or with some lime. It's like a wine of Tequila. If you want a mixed drink with tequila, order something like a Tequila Sunrise but for lord's sake don't use Patron, have them use Quervo. Using Patron in a mixed drink is like buying a New York strip steak, and grinding it up for taco beef. Sure, you can do it and it'd be a pretty good taco too. However anyone watching you do it will think (and rightly so) that you're unsophisticated and lacking in knowledge of the finer things.

Patron is a great tequila and I have made a new drink with Patron and Sprite mixed with a lime! I call it a Silver Bullet!
