I love baileys?!
Answers: I know baileys is made with milk so i was wondering how come it stays so long? And also i know it is so high in calories so i was wonderin does anyone have any alternatives?
Baileys needs to be kept in the Frig, And it lasts for a while because of the preservative they use, And no you won't find the same taste in less quality Irish creams, So enjoy....
I love Baileys too, but it is very fattening. I love sweet sickly drinks so I drink Malibu with diet coke instead, less calories and nice and refreshing!
there is no substitute for baileys, the rest are pale imitations, just accept that they are necessary calories and so worth it!
balieys is nice but high in fat because its milky.
as with the previous person's comment about diet coke n alcohol, yes it may be less fattening but it will make you become drunk quicker
I'm not sure how it stays so long but i have had a bottle of baileys go off on me! that'll teach me for not drinking it!
If you want a really fattening bailey's treat tho put baileys, a scoop of ice cream, some double cream, in a blender and whizz it up! one bailey's milk shake and sooooooooooo naughty! i should warn you tho, it's addictive! Bailey's on its own isn't so fattening after that!

Baileys can keep for a long time because it's stabilized by the alcohol content. Although, I am of the opinion that, after it's opened it should be refrigerated. Some people don't refrigerate their Bailey's after opening. Ick. Curdled Baileys!

I think the alcohol will help it keep. I have heard of people keeping an open bottle in the fridge, but I never have. However I do try to finish the bottle in a reasonable time (that is too easy!!). Although, I have sometimes made my own and I keep that in the fridge!
Oh dear!...be prepared to buy bigger sizes in clothes!...it also contains a lot of 'neutral' spirit which isnt whiskey... I think its the alcohol content that has the preserving qualities that extends the 'use by date' of the cream part...there are a few similiar products for sale!...but check the ingredients list on the bottle!...

Here's something that you should know about Baileys (and trust me, my wife likes it too), it's not true Irish Cream. Irish Cream is made with Irish Whiskey, and Baileys uses a neutral grain alcohol. If you can find it, try Brady's Irish Cream. It's made in the true method, and uses the highest amount of Irish Whiskey in any Irish Cream.
