What is the best Champagne to use when making a mimosa?!

Question:

What is the best Champagne to use when making a mimosa?

Champagne in like the $20 range?

Answers:
Seriously, you don't even have to spend $20. Andre is about $4-5 and since it's mixed with OJ you can't really tell, and it's not like your drinking to appreciate the flavor of the champgne, anyway.

the cheap stuff works just fine $5-$10, the expensive stuff is too sweet with the orange juice.

Use whatever tastes the best for you and your guests. A good rule of thumb whne cooking with wine (or in your case champagne) is that you should only use something that you would want to drink.

Andre lol

a champagne called Andre' cheap but ver tastey!

Cheap Cheap Cheap. When your mixing it 50% with OJ, there is absolutely no sence in spending even 20...go with Asti Spumante that is like 5 dollars a bottle and call it good.

Best Regards.

Mumms! It's about $19, and it's excellent. If you don't make all the mimosas, just polish off the bottle!

CHEAP

seriously, do not waste your good $20 champagne on a mimosa. Any decent sparkling $15 and under is fine for a mimosa. I love Mumm Napa, which is sparkling wine not Champagne. Their Cuvee M is usually about $15 a bottle.
