German beer in the US?!
Answers: I'm looking for a German beer called K?nig Pilsener in the U.S. I know it's very local to the Ruhrgebiet, specifically Duisburg. I'm kinda missing home right now so I figuered getting drunk with a familiar beer is a good idea! Oh and if it makes a difference I'm in Chicago.
I've picked it up at Andersonville Wine and Spirits on the corner of Clark and Foster in Andersonville. I believe I've come across it at Binny's also... If you haven't been to Binny's in the South Loop you are missing out on one of the greatest beer stores in Illinois.
Binnys listing for it:

Sorry. I don't live in Chicago, I live in California. I'd just like to give you hope. We have it.

I know how you feel. Good luck finding it.
Check around for a store that carries a decent variety of imports. If you can't find your beer. Ask the owner of the store to check with their distributor to see if they can get it. If they can't get it. Ask them if it's even available in the United States. Some great German names are slowly getting in here. But, some still have a hard time leaving their homeland. Good Luck
Apparently (I don't have first-hand experience of this), there's a restaurant/bar on Broadway in Uptown next to The Green Mill called Fat Cat that has Koenig Pilsner on tap. The reviews of the place are mostly uncomplimentary, but if you've gotta have it, you've gotta have it.
Oh, and I checked Sam's Wine too--no luck.
