What is the best california cabernet?!

Question:

What is the best california cabernet?

Answers:
Best Cabernet Sav. From califorina is Robert Mondavi Private Reserve, 2002 vintage about 180 per bottle.

Best Cabernet Sav under 100 dollars Far Niente about $90 a bottle

Best Cab under 50 Dollars Robert Mondavi Napa about $30 per bottle

Best Cab under 20 Dollars Aquanis Cab by Sebsatiani about $12

I just had a bottle of Kendall Jackson cab. vintage 2003. It is very good now and should age well for the next 4-6 years. I also have a 97 Napa Vinyards laid down since 2000 and will open it when I retire from the AF in 2009. Should be excellent. The Kendall Jackson sells now for about $17 a bottle which is well worth the price. There are many more expensive wines out there and like everything pertaining to taste is subject to individual likes and dislikes. Try a few from various cellars and price ranges until you find what YOU like.

This is a very subjective question.

I would say the 2001 Jordan Cabernet is one of my personal favorites. This is a glass of wine that has been descibed by a somellier friend of mine as "sex in a glass." I love this wine and I find a cherry & dark chocolate flavor to it. I still have one bottle layed down and will probably drink it this year, as it should be fully mature by now.

I don't know if there's anymore out there but:

1996 Chateau St. Jean Cabernet Sauvignon Cinq Cepages was phenomenal, especially for the price. It's was so rich, smooth, just overall one of the best cab's made that year or even in recent times.

As for still purchasable, I would go with a 2002 Caymus Special Selection Cabernet Sauvignon (around $115).
