What is a cover charge?!
Answers: What is a cover charge? How is it different from just charging admission? From what I've heard, it sounds like they're charging admission.
you're right!! it's the same damn thing
It is the same thing.
You got it.
You are right, cover charge is money paid by you to get into the bar, same as admission.
I think clubs like to call it cover charge rather than admission because they say it goes towards covering the cost of the band or entertainment. It sounds better than having to pay admission is the logic I guess.
it's pretty much the same thing, except you aren't actually buying a ticket. i think they are trying to make it sound more appealing or something. i think the term is used more with small bands since they are actually making most of the money so you are really helping them out when you are paying the fee.
Yes, it's an admission charge. You pay to get into the club, like you do to get into a movie.
I'd be willing to say the club might be cheaper than a movie these days. It all depends on the club.
i think you got it
