I make a simple punch that everyone always seem to love. You mix two liters of Hawaiian punch, two liters of 7up or Sprite and some rainbow sherbet. I freeze green & red cherries in a mold with water and put into the punch. Tastes great and looks wonderful.

Little grapies might be nice! Or little sliced maraschino cherries!

Try lemon aid or pineapple juice in a festive drink as they melt you can still have a good taste.

1. Mint
2. Fruit
3. Little plastic toys that go along with the theme of the party.
4. Use those plastic ice cubes that are already in different shapes and colors and don't dilute the drink.
5. Use food coloring to make regular ice cubes different colors.

oooh! a cherry with the stem sticking out :D that'll be cuuute

For Halloween, plastic flies are GREAT! You can buy ice cube trays in shapes like jewels, and you could dye the water or use juice or something.

Pineapple juice with sliced maraschino cherries is excellent.
sliced strawberries is also good.

You have lots of other good suggestions that I don't want to duplicate, but those two are my favorites.

Mint is great also.

One I didn't see yet is olives

It depends on the festivity, but just about any berry freezes well. For a 4th of July party, I froze raspberries and blueberries in ice cubes, tasted great in lemonade. If you are making tea, you could freeze rindless lemon or other citrus. Any leaf from the mint family freezes nicely.

I have seen small flowers frozen in ice cubes, very pretty.
