Ice in beer?!

Question: I've got a warm beer here. If I put a sandwich bag of ice in my mug, do you think it will serve the same purpose as those little metal deals in beer pitchers?
Or will it be a waste of time? I'm not too sure how it'll work out.

what i do is get some mugs of the freezable kind, it keeps it very cold forever! try that next time?

that will work

Sounds like a good idea!

get a glass you put in freezer

To cool off your beer glass quickly, put ice in it, then water. Swish it around a bit, throw it out, pour beer. :)

Or keep a few glasses in your freezer.

yeah just chill the glass first next time... if it doesn't fit in your freezer, then before you fill it up with beer fill it up with ice and water and let it sit for about 3-5 mins. Chilled glass baby...pour in beer and enjoy.
