Ordinarily, I would tell you that at your age, you have no business drinking. Being underage, you run the risk of trouble with the Police.

However, since you said your parents offer you a taste of their drinks... that's WAY different.

Every family is different. Parents have different views on how to raise responsible teen-agers. Your parents seem to share my view. Giving a taste of a drink won't hurt. It will let you know what you like by the time you're 21. Whether it's wine or a mixed drink, a sip or two is perfectly fine.

I always tried what ever my parents were drinking. When I was younger, I thought it was all disgusting and swore I'd never touch a drop when I was older. Well... now I'm older, and I have found that I actually enjoy the taste of some alcohols. And as a parent, I allow my children to try a sip or two from time to time. In my own home.

So... to answer your question, it really wouldn't take much for someone your age to get snookered. You haven't really had much experience with it yet, so really only a half a glass of wine or beer should be your limit.

You have plenty of time to develop your tastes and discover what you like. By the time you're 21, you should be well versed in responsible drinking, and will already know what you want for your first legal drink.

Depends on your weight.

my mom let us have a wine cooler once in awhile, I turned out fine. Never got drunk and it made us not have to sneak around to try it

why?
do u wanna drink but are worried
-_-
im not helping out sum1 as young as u to drink

& if ur not planning to then i say the same as the person b4 me

yes that would be OK.
I don't like wines though, except sparkling wines.

A 13 year old should not be touching alcohol. Whoever is giving/providing, or for that matter; even allowing alcohol for a minor will be in loads of trouble!!!!

Just a little bit once in a wail. That's what i would say but it depends if your matur enough.

A glass of wine every now and again is totally fine, and actually, I think it should be encouraged. It takes away the whole "rebellion" aspect of drinking alcohol. If a child has had a sensible introduction to alcohol, drinking as much as you said with parents in the right context (ie, meal times, special occassions, etc), they're much less likely to feel the need to go out and get drunk for the hell of it with friends.

But yes, a glass every day or two is completely ok. Don't forget, in places like France the majority of kids your age (and younger) will have wine with meals.

A small glass of beer or wine is culturally accepted in many parts of the world. Usually those countries have less problems with alcohol abuse. However I would not suggest that you drink spirits.Try mixing the wine or beer with a soft drink of some sort. Soda water works well when mixed with wine and sprite/lemonade for beer. It lowers the amount of alcohol in the drink also.
