Cheap wine that is still good?!

Question:

Cheap wine that is still good?

I don't believe that you have to spend $30 on a bottle of wine to get good stuff. Any suggestions on good wine under $15? Is it accessable in most stores?

Answers:
Yellow Tail Shiraz is great, Luna de luna makes great fusions

well you could go to a store where they seel it

I like barefoot brand. It runs abour $5 a bottle and tastes good. Although, I am not fond of Merlot. The others I like.

Trader Joe's & Costco have good wines @ great prices.

Yes! Try Bully Hill Banty Red, or Bully Hill Grower's Red if you like it less sweet. Both are large bottles for $9.99. Cheers!

sangria the bomb cheap and everywhere and the bomb and did i say the bomb lol

Oh, yes .... You can get great wine for very resonable prices. I love wines! (except "pink wines") go to the back of the store, and ask where they keep the discontinued wines. In Oregon and Washington, we have state controlled alchohol. so, I go to the back of the Safeway store, by the eggs, and there are all of the discontinued and short dated items. Well, have you ever heard of a short dated wine? So, read the label as to the type of wine, say Merlot, where it is from, say Napa, but you never have heard of it. So, for $3.99 it's worth the try. I get great wines that are short / splits because most people only look at 750 ml or 1.5 l bottles. Gloria Ferrer Chardonney is a great buy in a split for $2.99 We also have 'Grocery Outlet Stores' that have great buys on wines. I have yet to find a wine from South Africa that I like. The wines from Austraila are extra sweet to my pallet. The Sauvignon Blanc from New Zealand is great. But, the Sauvignon Blanc from Italy is poor. Yet, the ruby ports from Portugal are great, but from Spain are just so-so. The ice wines from Canda are super for a value vs price. The Pinot Noir from Oregon is good! Try Cubanisimo Pinot Noit, and Kathkin Pinot Noir., You can get a good bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon from Sterling. When I started interest in wines, I found that if I discribed the foods I like, the "wine guy" could match my palet better. Now, I buy everything. There is a new Cubanisimo "Pink" wine that is said to be dry. I'll try it. Also, if you can find Flynn Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris, they should be good. The winery was purchased by Firesteed, and changed the label, thus the Flynn label is obsolete, cheeply price.
