Do people really take Dayquil as an alternative to alcohol?
I just heard the rumor that it's abused to get drunk. Is this true?

I would guess that NyQuil would work better as DayQuil doesn't have nearly the alcohol content. And, sadly enough, yes people do drink household items to replace traditional alcoholic drinks to get drunk.... mouthwash, cold medications, etc, etc.

Had a friend in high school that used to buy NyQuil to get drunk. It's sad but true.
Maybe. I was a clerk in a supermarket I had customers that couldn't buy any more alcohol passed a certain time because of a city ordinance, so they would buy bottles of nyquil to get high. Now I don't know about dayquil but its possible. They also use Scope mouthwash.
No Dayquill is not going to get you drunk like alcohol. My expereince is that NyQuill will. I drank so much one time I was drunk off my a@@
