How do I prepare a Cuban cigar???!

Question: Ok I recently purchased a few cubans from Canada but have some questions. First how do you get them ready for smoking?Ok there is an open end and a rounded closed end.

1.How long should I keep it in the humidor before smoking?
2. Where is the best place to circumsize it?
3.Which end do I light and which end do I smoke?
4.Should I smoke the whole thing at once? Is relighting a bad idea?

Cigar smokers please help. I am a cigar rookie!!!!

If it is not in a humidor get it in one soon! If it goes dry leave in a humidor for a month or two to let it heal. If it is in a tube you are ok for a while, a few weeks.

Circumcision well the rounded cap is what you snap off with a regular cutter. You will go down about 1/8" and cut. That is called the "cap" and will look slightly different than the rest of the wrapper.

Which end to light? The uncut end after you snap off the cap

Smoke it all at once, relighting is bad.

For your first time I would recommend a nice Balvinee Scotch or Kaol Isla or a Taylor Port perferably a 20-40 yr old Tawny.
Salud!

Throw it in the trash and make a drink instead!

Chances are that most places selling Cubans are hopefully keeping them in a humidor. So you can smoke it right away. If not get it in one as soon as possible.
When ready to smoke first either cut about 1/4 inch off the uncut side using a cigar cutter, or if you prefer use a cigar punch and poke 2 or 3 holes in the uncut end. The punch method gives you less draw but there is far less chance of damaging the wrapper and causing it to flake. Especially if you've never cut a cigar before.
Light the previously uncut end using a wooden match and enjoy. Smoke the whole thing at once but if you absolutely must put it out and relight it later then let it go out on its own by placing it vertically with ash end up. After a few minutes it will go out on its own and can be re lit later.

First you slice it down the middle lengthwise. Then you empty out the tobacco. Then you stuff it with chroni....

Wait...what was the question again?
