Does Grenadine have an alcohol content, or is it just used in drinks like cocktails for flavour?!

You can use Sprite, and then when the sprite is in the glass, just fill a shot glass or two up with the Grenidine, and pour in and mix till all of the syrup is mixed into the drink

Actually, real Grenadine is pomegranate flavored. It is a non-alcoholic syrup. The most common brand of grenadine, Rose's, does not have any natural fruit flavors at all.

My favourite drink for kids - half orange juice, half tonic water float the grenadine down to the bottom so it looks like a tequila sunrise. Put it in a fancy glass.
Do not be paranoid about alcohol and children - studies have shown where children are not told it is totally tabu perhaps given the odd small sip on special occasions they are less likely to have a problem with it when they grow up.

I don't think it does, it's a pomegranate flavored sweet syrup to flavour mixed drinks. It makes whatever it's in taste really good!
It's just purely pomegranate flavored syrup...it doesn't contain any alcohol at all...
