Put a martini glass in the freezer until it is good and cold. Take a bottle of vermouth and pour a teaspoonful into a martini glass. Swish it around, then pour out whatever you can so that only a thin film is left on the glass.
Take some good gin and pour it over ice in a shaker. Shake it up until the gin is good and cold, then strain it into the martini glass.
Throw some olives on a toothpick and drop them in the glass and you've got a classic dry martini. To kick it up a notch, use olives stuffed with jalape?os.
