What a bunch of loser answers!

Not one Belgian beer mentioned. However, there are very fine brews to be found in the US these days.

Jimmy - you have discoverd Guiness - a good start, but take the road a bit further by sampling other stouts, Sierra Nevada or a similar easy to find brewer in your local supermarket is an easy progression.

Guiness is a dry stout and part of a style group that includes one of my paticular favorites - Imperial Stout. If you can find them Old Rasputin by North Coast Brewing or Stone Brewery's Imperial Stout are going to be something to progress to at around 9-10% alcohol. Rogue and Sam Smiths also produce great stouts that are relatively easy to find. The Granddaddy of stouts if you can find it is the Le Coq Russian Imperial Stout by Harveys of Lewes in the UK - Yum!

The cold kind. Seriously, it's Miller Lite in the bottle.

I really really love Samuel Smith's Nut Brown Ale. Deep but light and great flavor.

Blue Moon on draft with an orange slice or miller lite bottle...really really cold!!
