Alcohol is a drying agent. If you have dry skin, it wouldn't be good for it.

Of course it can be put on the face, but why would you want to? It consists of water, alcohol, sugar, and traces of esters and such that give it aroma and flavor. First, the water and the alcohol will evaporate, causing your ski to dry. Second, the sugar will remain. It will feel sticky and uncomfortable, and will attract flies. But you will smell nice, you'll smell like a cough drop.
