Scotch (Balvenie)?!

Question:

Scotch (Balvenie)?

I tried the double wood (pretty much my first experience with any single malt)

Now I got the 15 year Balvenie single malt (i believe the doublewood was 12 year)

Anyways any suggestions for other scotches i would enjoy the Balvenie 15 year is nice but expensive

Answers:
For a unique experience try Bunnahabhain. It's more aromatic and smoky than most. You can read about them on their web site of the same name.

The single best scotch in my collection is a Glenfarclas 35 year old ($180 a bottle). Not just by price or age ... but it is very very smooth.

However don't be fooled ... more age does not always translate into better. A cheaper than average 15 or 18 year is not as good as a top quality 10 or 12 year product.

I prefer 15 year Macallan to 25 year Macallan. The 25 year is just too thick and heavy to enjoy..

I prefer 10 year old Auchentoshan to most 12 or 15 year old of anything else named Glen(something).

Glenfiddich single malt is very good. If you can find the solera version I think you will like it.
