Macro or Micro, which breweries would you rather drink?!

Question: Does America's average person prefer Bud, Miller, and Corona? or do we really support our own guys working in the brewpubs and microbreweries creating the real stuff?

The majority of Americans definately seem to drink a lotta macros. I think a lot of peple don't realize the difference in taste between a fizzy macro and a really good microbrew. Even the big imports like Heineken, Stella, Corona, Amstel, etc. are produced the same way and yeild a similar, watery, sometimes skunky flavor. I do realize there is a price difference (I was once a poor college student), but it's totally more about quality than quantity. You definitely get what you pay for. Once you start drinking really good beer, you can never go back!

I, sir, wholeheartedly support our countries microbreweries. I only buy organic or local beer (ie Magic Hat, Sam Adams) and I cringe, cringe I tell you, at the thought of a commercially processed head of foam that people think is beer.

Macro

I definitely prefer Sam Adams, Magic Hat, Sierra Nevada, Rogue, or any local microbrews to pretty much all macros.

However, as a college student, the times when I can afford such beers oscillate between rare and nonexistant.

Because of this, my favorite cheap beer is Yuengling Black & Tan or Yuengling Lager, from a brewery neatly tucked between the macro piss and microbrews outside my budget.

Well, since American Micros represent only about 5.9% of the total beer sales annually I'd say that the average American prefers macros. I myself love a good craft beer quite a bit however.
