How should i take this comment coming from a bartender regarding Dharma?!

Question: I rarely go out to the bar, but last night i went to one far from my home after a horrible day.

I had a large shot size glass full of Gold Schlagger, and i felt i was being rather friendly and talkative to the bartender girl who was my age, and i have to admit that was a happy thing for me because i don't meet alot of women my age. The conversation was going seemingly well considering we just met.
Then suddenly she told me she was going to be honest with me. I reminded her of a Neurotic Dharma type from Dharma and Greg. How should i feel about that? I have never watched she series so i don't know if that is a compliment or an insult or neither or just what it means? I personally felt insulted for some reason just in the fact i heard the word Neurotic.

At least Dharma was hot. She was ditzy but hey, dumb blondes are popular for a reason.
She was not being nice, that's for sure!

I don't know about the neurotic part, but Dharma was kinda flakey...she was stuck in the 60's while it was the 80's or so. I did like Dharma and Greg, though. I think she won't have many customers if she keeps being so "honest". It is always better to flatter customers than to halfway insult them. Customers pay her salary and her tips. She will figure that out eventually...when the bills come in and she is short of cash. That is karma of a sort.

She played a 'hippy, free spirit type', always 'waaay out there' & rather 'whacky' w/ her ideas & what she would do. You can catch reruns of it weekdays, check your local stations. Depending on the person who said it to you---it could be taken as a compliment or an insult, I don't know the person who said it.

generally, if someone says "i have to be honest with you" before they tell you something, its not a complement. that being said i have bot seen that show either so i dunno

I really like Dharma, but if she used the word "neurotic", then she was not really enjoying the conversation and may have felt a bit trapped.

Gold Schlagger can make you really drunk, really fast. Maybe you were just way too wired and talking too much about negative stuff. Don't worry about it. It was the alcohol, not you.

If you want to go back, just tell the bartender ... "wow, I drank too much and was really wired. Thanks for putting up with me!" Then start over. Drink a few beers instead of the gold schlagger. Don't talk about problems, criticisms or fears. Talk about positive stuff. Ask her something about herself.

You'd be best advised to know what's said in a bar should
stay there. There is little credit to be had elsewhere from
a bout of drinking.
