What type of liquor would be useful for a night cap?!

Question: I don't drink much, but sometimes I will occasionally have a drink socially. I have panic attacks & tend to be a nervous wreck at night, hence I never get any sleep lol. Anyway, I had a drink this afternoon and since I worked all night last night I dozed off this evening & was so relaxed, and woke up relaxed for a change! :)

Sooo, I'm think about having a night cap before bed but I'm not sure what I should buy.....I like wine but it spoils too quickly, I don't really like beer. I thought of wine coolers but I think they don't have enough alcohol in them.

Any ideas? thx

The best night cap that keeps well, and you won't overindulge in is a nice liquor. Not shnapps or any other regular drink, but pick a nice fruit liquor and use a small glass 1-2 oz mini-wineglass style. midori, and others like that will work.

I would've said wine, but you're right when you say it spoils too quickly. I don't think you should use liquor because it'd end up being more than just a night cap, but if you really must, I'd say a small amount of some good whiskey is the way to go. Also, you should find out whether or not brandy or sherry stay good longer than wine, because I'd imagine they'd be a little nicer on the taste buds and bloodstream.

Non-alcoholic night cappers: very warm milk (honey optional), chamomile tea, Trader Joe's Sleepy Time tea...

Valium.

If you're having panic attacks, you might want to see a trustworthy therapist. If he refers you to a psychiatrist, you might want to look into Valium. Just be warned that it's pretty addictive.

Irish whisky in coffee with some whipped cream. Or brandy in the coffee. It's great for me when I have a cold or need to relax.

rum and lots of it ... yummmmm

have a port wine or a grape. you can also have a gran Marnia
