Is it worth being a poor student for a year?!

Question:

Is it worth being a poor student for a year?

rite so.... im currently back with me mam and working part time in a shop. the hours are crap and im only on 350 a month! but cant get a better job as live in middle of no where n have no transport!
had a college interview few weeks back for gcses(didnt finish skool) and got accepted but i will be proper SKINT for a whole year. like on 150/200 a month! as will do a few hours!
a room is free in a house i used 2 live in rite in city centre.....
Do u think i should move in and get a better job on like over 200 a week or just stick with it as its only a year?
its really gettin me down being skint though and being so far away from me friends but i know it will be worth it in the end!
Thanx if u answer xx

Answers:
Without doubt I think you should go and get the qualifications.

Not only will they stand you in good sted for a better job, but the fact that you chose to go back and get them will look great on a CV and really impress employers.

1 year out of 70....Not a big deal really ?

Best of luck. Not being funny, but maybe take up something that is free while your studying. You may find you like hiking !!

you might have to drop the "i love shoes" attitude though ;-)

Definitely go to school. That will help you in the end. If your room is free and you will be living in (or near) a city it will be a lot easier for you to get a job. Good luck!

I was extremely poor for two years while in culinary school. I lived on ramen noodles and Monster energy drink, literally, and if you saw my paycheck now I think you'd agree that it was worth it. Stay in school.

It depends on what you want to do long term. Getting qualifications is a good idea if you are going to use them, otherwise you should make the most of your current situation. Maybe you could get more hours at work, or find an entry level job in a career you are really interested in. Good luck whatever you decide. Enjoy yourself.

Based on your spelling I would try a school that offers remedial programs

go for it,enjoy yourself.

If you have made the decision to go to college, I think you already know deep down that it will be worth it.
It is only for a year and you will have much more opportunity available to you.
.

Yes. Go for it.
