Answers:
near beer: 2.5% - 3%

regular beer (including light): 4% - 6% (sometimes regulated by local laws)

stout beer: 6% - 10%

white wine: 9% - 11%

red wine: 10% - 14%

Meade/ port wine / sherry: 20%

Conac/brandy: 20% - 30%

Schnappes: 30% - 40%

Vodka, whiskey, bourbon, scotch, regular rum, tequila: 40%

Certain select brands/types of liquors: 50-60%

Bicardi 151: 75%

Everclear: 95%

Ethanol, USP, 200 proof, reagent grade: 100%

.

1 Beer = 1 shot of hard liquior= 1 glass of wine.

Check out the labels, they will have something called "proof" on it, take that number and divide it by 2 and that number is the actual percentage of alcohol in the drink. Most beers and stuff like mikes hard are around 3-4%, whiskeys, vodkas, rums, ect...all range from 20% upwards of 50%. Bicardi 151 is 75.5%, and everclear is 95%. Be careful when getting into the heavy stuff!!

Beer is ususally 6% alcohol, Wine is usually 5-6%, and Vodka is 40%.

So like someone else said, a shot of Vodka is a lot like one beer, maybe even two beers/glasses of wine.
