Ball and Chain Martini Recipe
Ice
2 shots berry-flavored vodka
1 shot orange liqueur (could use OJ too just makes it weaker)
1 splash lime juice
Fresh blueberries

In a cocktail shaker filled with ice, add berry vodka, orange liqueur, and a splash of lime juice. Shake. Strain into martini glass. Garnish with fresh blueberries

weak margaritas

check out your local licquor store for margarite mixes. most of the mixes have recipes on the labels. you could also do something simple like Arbor Mist. Beer also works for bbq's.

Mojitos are wonderful, refreshing, easy to make, and very popular right now. :
1 shot of rum.
1 tablespoon of sugar
1 shot of fresh lime juice
Ice
A small branch of mint leaves.
Put the fresh mint leaves in the shaker with the rest of it and shake it up. Pour it out.
(you can get mint in the salad dept. at the grocery store) You can buy Mojito mixer too, that has the mint flavor built in, but it's not as good as fresh ingredients as shown above.

Mai Tai's are even easier.
2 shots of rum
2 shots of pineapple juice
A squirt of grenadine syrup
Ice
Mix it up in a shaker and pour it out. I love these. They are so similar to Hurricanes, that you could call it a hurricane and nobody would know the difference. If you really want to give it a kick, pour about 2 tablespoons of Bacardi 151 on top.

Margaritas are a classic hit. Use fresh lime juice for a really good one.

1 shot of gold tequila
1 shot of gin (trust me. just try it this way)
1/2 shot of grand marnier or couintreau (sp?)
2 shots of fresh lime juice
1 tablespoon of sugar
ice

Mix it all up in a shaker and pour it out.

Sangria with Fruit
Pour some Sangria (red spanish wine, kind of sweet) into a pitcher. Slice up a peach, a mango, and a papaya, and put a reasonable amount of fruit into the pitcher. It's not soup, but you do want each person to have 2 or 3 chunks.
Chill it. The colder the better.

Hope the bbq is fun.

ps. You'll notice most of these might come out a little on the strong side. ;) . If you prefer them not so strong, add more juice, but not water.

Margaritas are awesome for BBQs! Just buy the mix at the grocery store and go from there...

I like Mojitos!

24 fresh mint sprigs
16 tsp sugar
24 tbsp fresh lime juice
12 oz light rum
club soda

In a tall thin glass, crush part of the mint with a fork to coat the inside. Add the sugar and lime juice and stir thoroughly. Top with ice. Add rum and mix. Top off with *chilled* club soda (or seltzer). Add a lemon slice and the remaining mint, and serve.

These are fantastic!

Have a few Corona or Marca Bavaria on ice for those more inclined to beer and you are all set, don't forget the lemons and limes...

MARGARITA

2 oz tequila
1 oz triple sec ar grand marnier or cointreau
1 oz lime juice
sourmix if you want to spoil it
shake very very well with ice
to rim the glass with salt, take a fresh lime and rub around the rim, then put kosher salt onto a plate and put the glass lime rubbed side down onto the salt.

MOJITO
smash (muddle) fresh mint leaves and suger until pulpy. Add 2 oz good, clear rum. It can be flavored, bacardi makes great flavors and you can have a lot of fun with them, making flavored mojios. Fill the glass with ice and sour mix, and top off with sprite

vodka lemon/ lime& bitters
30ml vodka in a tall glass
15ml lemon or lime cordial (not the green coola cordial)
Ice
6 or so drops of Angorstora bitters

Very easy too make light and tastes great too just drop the vodka for the non alcoholic option.

crown and coke/ jack and coke / seven and seven/ pina coladas/ strawberry daqs to many to choose
