Going to Las Vegas and want to have a few drinks while I gamble...any recommendations?!
Answers: I love Cape Cod's, Irish Coffees and Screwdrivers...but I haven't tried a lot of other things that I like.

Great tasting drink, I'm sure you'll love it.
Stick to soda, don't gamble and spend your money on going to some good shows.

stick to black jack and the slots, they're statistically more likely to pay out.
I would do a rebel shot (a 6 shooter of whiskey). But that might end your night a little prematurely. ;-)
try a "sex on the beach" they are really nice. and not as strong as some other cocktails which is handy if your gambling. It has vodka , peach schnapps orange juice and cranberry juice in it.
I live in Nevada and we say don't imbibe if you are going to gamble. The main reason is that alcohol dulls your senses and your judgment.
If you you want to have a good time don't mix it with drinking or gambling. Take in a few shows have some good meals.
Go to a night club have a good time with your friend(s). Stay up later than would at home sleep later. It's a vacation enjoy.
You must try a Long Island Tea,,,,,tastes like ice tea,but has a 'KICK". Oh, and go to Ceasars Palace to watch the statue of Ceaser come to life.......every hour! It's in front of the hard rock cafe' in the lower section...I believe. HAVE FUN :))
manhattans are always good, white russians would be my second choice, yum. dang, now i've got to run to the liquor store!

As a Las Vegan, I have a tip for you:
Gamble at the bar for a few minutes on max bet. Tip the bartender a couple bucks if/when he comps your drink and THEN go to a machine and gamble.
If you wait for a cocktail waitress you could be waiting for 15-20 minutes to get your drink back from her.
As far as drinks..... I always like Vodka/7-Up or Captain Morgan/Coke.
Gentlemen's Jack and coke. Its free and goes well with craps. Makes you win!!
ask for 7and 7,or cranberry and vodka,or if or feeling real daring ask for a scuby snack.
I gotta tell ya, the frothy drinks at the Flamingo (like the Pina Colada) cannot be beat. They are free while you are playing. The better you tip, the more often you will see your waitress. I would barely get one done and she would be there asking if I wanted another. It was great!
