Beer can go bad from a taste standpoint. And it starts as soon as it leaves the brewery. If you keep it cold it will maintain it's freshness longer. If you put it in direct sunlight it will go bad much just faster especially if it is in clear bottles. The sunlight contains ultraviolet radiation which causes the beer to develop a skunky flavor due to the sulfur bearing amino acids in the protein. If you've ever tasted it you will know. Kept at room temperature away from the sun you are probably talking months for shelf life of commercial products.
There are not microbiological issues with commercial products. Homemade beer might depending on the skill and knowledge of the brewer.

Yes it can go bad. Usually it can be kept for 6 months unchilled w/o it altering the taste but sometimes can be kept for up to a year. It will go bad faster if kept in extreme heat or cold though.
As long as it is not opened or left in direct sun light (heat) it will last for months. The question is, how long will you be tempted to let it stand on the shelf w/out consumption lol - not long in our house!
:)
It goes "bad" in terms of taste, not sure when it is no longer potable based on bacteria etc.

Depends. If you are drinking typical American macro swill like Bud/Coors/Miller (Heineken/Corona fall in this category as well) it can last a month or so. If it is good beer it depends on the style. A bottle conditioned beer can be kept 3-10 years in some cases. Those usually are ones with high ABV that benefit from aging.
it will eventually go bad ive never had beer long enough to go bad just keep it warm or cold all the time dont let it get warm then chill again gross
Good beers last for years. When I brew spruce beer, I won't even open the first bottle for two years. I still have barleywine from 2002. The best beers for aging atre the higher-alcohol dark ones.
In contrast, beer brewed with large amounts of maize (corn) are only good for a couple of months. Some of them, like Corona, are good for a matter of hours before they get skunked.
