How to make a Whiskey Sour?!

Question:

How to make a Whiskey Sour?

I love whiskey sours, but can never seem to make them taste right at home. I've tried sour mix from the liquor store and it tasted like cr@p. Any suggestions? Best taste = 10 points, thanks.

This one sounds crazy, but it works, and they are tasty. I learned it in my college years from a fraternity brother from Kentucky. Have some friends around, make them on a warm afternoon, and don’t plan on doing anything else, because you are going to be on the floor.

The Wesley Hart Whiskey Sour
1 can American Lager Beer (Coors, Bud, Miller Light, or something else that tastes like water)
1 can lemonade concentrate
Bourbon Whisky (Sorry for the confusion, that should be Bourbon Whiskey. Other American Whiskeys would work, but stay away from Scotch or Irish).

Pour the beer into a pitcher, stir until flat. Add the lemonade concentrate to the pitcher. Fill the concentrate can with the Bourbon and add to the mixture. Stir until the concentrate is thawed. Pour into glasses, hand your car keys to a responsible party, and enjoy.

I'm a traditionalist.... a real whiskey sour is made with Canadian whiskey or inexpensive bourbon.... start with two jiggers whiskey, one jigger of fresh lemon juice and a teaspoon of super fine sugar.... mix it all up with a barspoon in a mixing glass, then strain into a an old-fashion glass with ice and add a marachino cherry

whatever you do ..make sure you use real limes,,,dont go buy crappy *** mixes.

this goes for any cocktail you make..uses the real juices of whatever fruit that is called for
