Of course the 20 lb bag is a better deal per lb but only if you plan on using alot of sugar in a relativity short time .If not it will go hard and lumpy and you will probability throw it away losing money in the long run

actually, when you take time to do the math, it would be cheaper to go with the 5 lb bag of sugar. with the 5 lb bag of sugar you are spending .95 per lb as opposed to .99 (almost $1) per lb for the 20 lb bag. also, what would you do with 20 lbs of sugar?
