Can you buy Marsala wine from a regular grocery store?!

Question:

Can you buy Marsala wine from a regular grocery store?

Answers:
Yes, anyplace they sell wine. For cooking you don't need to purchase the most expensive. Just don't buy 'cooking wine'; it's from the bottom of the barrel and they add much salt to it. Yuck!
.

Yes, It depends where you live.

yes it should be in the pasta isle..or with the other liquid seasonings

I can in California. It's in the liquor aisle in our little Safeway. If you want the cooking type marsala (ick), it's by the other cooking wines near the vinegars. The most popular brand of cooking marsala here is Holland House.

yes you can here in Florida not sure where you are from

Yes, at least at all of the larger chain stores. Holland House makes a marsala that you can find in all the stores, usually on the aisle with pasta or sauces like steak sauce and ketchups.

You can where I live in Florida, this is because supermarkets sell beer and wine...in some states you can only buy cooking wine in the grocery store....You must be thinking about cooking chicken Marsala...you know what is really good? Grouper Marsala...try serving it with penne pasta and put the Marsala sauce over both the fish and the pasta.....yum-o

Don't buy "cooking" wine (next to the vinegars). If your grocery store sells wine and beer, they will probably have some *real* marsala wines. They will probably be on the shelf next to the Sherry and Port wines.
