How do you make a 'good' frozen margarita??!
3oz silver tequila
1oz FRESH lime juice
1 and a half oz COINTREAU, (Triple Sec is hogwash)
2 cups crushed ice
Put the ice, tequila, Cointreau and lime juice in a blender... start on slow, then keep increasing the speed until on high, and when the concoction looks like a Slurpee, pour it into a large goblet that has been rimmed with kosher salt(To rim the glass, rub a lime wedge around the rim and place it upside down in a saucer of salt) Add a lime wedge to the rim... viola! An AUTHENTIC frozen Margarita.... by the way, that is a double for most people... ;-)
by the way... a Margarita is NOT Spanish... it is Mexican... tequila is not from Spain!!!
Answers: In my humble opinion, a 'good' Margarita does not use any mix or artificial juice... you want an authentic Margarita, there is no crushed ice, but if you want an authentic 'Frozen' Margarita...
