Question:

Why do some peoples face get all red when they drink ?

Like my face. It gets pretty red. As my friend he looks normal...but he is drunk. Why is that? Is be because i have better blood or something?

Answers:
it's all about circulation. if you have thinner blood and lots of capillaries, your face will turn redder.

almost everyone does, the darker your skin, the less likely it will show

they are ready to drink.

Blood pressure maybe going up...

drink till you look less red,,

Alcohol dilates the capillaries, tiny blood vessels in the skin. This makes them larger and you can see them through the skin, giving your face a red glow. You're probably pretty fair skinned. That's why your face gets red when you drink.

there is an old saying that if your face turns red easily from drinking it means blood circulation is good. but i have yet to chance upon an article on a research for this.

everyone basically does that

You migh have high blood pressure

Because among other things, alcohol is a vasodilator. That means it increases capillary blood flow by making the capillaries expand, which is responsible for the warm feeling you get when you're drunk, your nose and cheeks turning red, and your eyes being bloodshot. Alcohol does NOT affect any other type of blood flow, such as arterial or veinous; the walls of those types are too thick to be affected.

It happens more often in Asians and is called Asian Flush. If you are Asian then look it up on the web and you will find tons of info. If you're not Asian then it could just be the fact that alcohol makes your blood pressure rise and therefore more blood flow.

It's NOT high blood pressure, alcohol is a vasodialator and the face and neck are very vascular causing this as well as the warmth associated with it...the answer from Va. is right on...

there probably allergic to one of the ingredients

Yes, the dilatation of capillaries is real cause, but if you drink slowly, the redness is less intensive, because the capillaries try to recover their normal shape.

More, don't try to pick up too much coins from the floor or to touch your new shoes too much when you drink....???you'll get red face man!!!

Not BETTER blood...more like high blood PRESSURE..

alcohol

If you are Asian, then you have the Asian Flush ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/asian_flush... ). The fix is to take an H2 inhibitor like Pepcid AC 1 hour before drinking. Works like a charm!!
