When is drinking to much a problem or not?!

Question: I'm a little confused. We are advised that anything more than 1-2 drinks are day and every day is a problem. Some of my friends drink what seems copious amounts every day (the guys around 8 beers, girls bottle wine a night) for the past 20 years. They eat healthy, work hard and live day to day normally. There's no abuse, anger, passing out, drink drive. Are they alcoholics or can some people function that way?

It is all individual I suppose whether one is hooked on recieving that high every day. Consistency if you will. It is not wright it is not wrong in my opinion. As long as they are hurting no one, or themselves even a combo of both then I suppose that is ok for them to do. I would personally not encourage it but I cannot condemn it either.

Look up the word alcoholic, then decide for yourself. Do you join them? Are you looking to fit in with them? Experimenting or thinking of doing so?

These are some things you may wish to consider before you completely make up your own mind on the matter at hand huh?!

Hope you form an opinion for yourself and don't worry if conflicts with someone else's.

Be well my friend.

Peace comes to those that will be calm within themselves!

If their habits are not affecting their lives in a negative way, I would say there is no problem.

It depends on the blood alcohol content of the blood. I think "everything in moderation"

I drink three to four glasses of wine a night..I wake up without a hangover. Get to work on time. Work out everyday,( it is fattening, I'm not fat.) eat right. I don't feel there is a problem. I love my wine. Don't take it away from me!!!

Drinking is a problem when it starts controlling your life. If you can not think straight or whatever if you don't have a drink. It is a problem if they drink and drive too. As long as they are not hurting anyone else its okay to drink. But make sure they are in good health and are not abusing alcohol.
